This months feature tech article is "How to do a Cam Swap in a Honda B-Series engine." You'll find that the tech article is in video format. We did this for numerous reasons, but primarily because audio and visual demonstration give the best learning techniques. Our future tech articles will be in video format for your learning and viewing pleasure. The idea behind showing how to swap cams is much different than what any shop manual will demonstrate. The method displayed in the videos allows me to swap camshafts on the dyno in less than 20 minutes in most cases. The largest difference is that the timing belt tension is not disturbed, which significantly speeds up the installation process. The technique will only work if the timing belt is installed properly in the first place, as well as proper timing belt tension before the camshaft installation. You can also apply the same techniques found in the videos to H-Series engines using a H23 manual tensioner conversion. Cam Swap Tech Article - Part 1: Disassembly
