This months feature car is Chris D. Honda H1 Challenge EK hatchback. Those who are not familar with the H1 Challenge racing series the cars are Honda only, and have limitations on internal engine modifications (typically have to use OEM parts only depending on engine) and weight biasing towards engine type (d, b, h and k series). The series is wheel to wheel road racing with many races held around the country. Chris D. raced two seasons ago with a b-series based power plant, and decided to step up a k-series power plant for this past season. Rules are very strict for the k-series powerplants, allowed to use only OEM parts in the engine and having the most weight bias as well. Despite these limitations Evans Tuning was able to extract 235whp/190wtq out of an internally stock 06' TSX longblock with only bolt-ons and tuning! Even with the addition weight bias for the k-series powerplant Chris D managed to have four 1st place finishes, five 2nd place finishes and three 3rd place finishes this past season. He also set class track records are Beaver Run Motorsports park and Virginia International Raceway (north course), won Grassroot Motorsports Ultimate Track Car Challenge for his class, and finish 3rd place at the Honda Challenge H1 NASA Nationals. Evans Tuning congradulates Chris for his accomplishments this past season and looks foward to the 08' season of racing! |
