Fuel-Pumps.net is reporting that they have information regarding knock-off Walbro fuel pumps. We believe these pumps are already knowingly being sold by some U.S. distributors. Externally the pumps are hard (if not impossible) to tell apart. Here are what the knock-off makers had to say:

So if you are buying from a “reputable” company and getting a fuel pump for significantly less than any other company selling them, you can be sure it’s a knock-off. If you have already purchased one at “crazy pricing” we recommend returning it and buying a legitimate pump. These knock-off pumps have hardly undergone the in-depth testing that Walbro has done to ensure quality products. You only need it to fail once, and your motor is toast.
